Every Zimbabwe company registered before February 2024 must re-register — or face automatic deregistration and asset forfeiture to the State.
Understanding Statutory Instrument 108 of 2025 and why it matters.
Statutory Instrument 108 of 2025 was gazetted under the Companies and Other Business Entities Act (Cap 24:31). It mandates the re-registration of all companies, private business corporations, and other entities that were registered before February 2024.
The government initiative is a national compliance clean-up designed to update the Companies Registry, eliminate dormant entities, and ensure all operating businesses meet current regulatory standards.
The deadline is 20 April 2026. Companies that fail to re-register by this date will be automatically struck off the register.
