Terms of Service

We provide three families of service:

• Onilaz Academy: independent, one-to-one exam preparation for ACCA, CIMA (Operational level), FIA, and A-Level Accounting. Onilaz is not an approved Learning Partner of any professional body; students register directly with their own body.
• Career services: CV writing, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimisation, and career coaching.
• Technology services: website development, software setup, cloud services, and UX/UI design.

We confirm the scope, deliverables, and timelines of your engagement when you book. We may modify or discontinue a service with reasonable notice.

Fees

• Fees are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise.
• Fees are payable in advance, unless we agree a payment plan in writing.
• Prices can change, but a change never affects an engagement we have already confirmed.

How to pay

You can pay by bank transfer (CBZ, CABS, Stanbic, or any local bank), mobile money (EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks), Paynow online in the student portal, or cash at our offices by appointment. Online payments are subject to Paynow's terms, and exchange rates for non-USD transactions are applied at the time of processing.

Late payment

Academy tuition

• Full refund if you cancel at least 14 days before the session start date.
• 50% refund if you cancel within 7 to 13 days before the start.
• Pro-rata refund if you cancel within the first 14 days after sessions begin.
• No refund once 14 days of sessions have passed.

Career services

• Full refund if you cancel before any work has been delivered.
• No refund once the first draft has been delivered.

Technology projects

• Refund of your deposit, less work completed, if you cancel before the first milestone is delivered.
• No refund after a milestone is delivered and signed off.

These terms sit alongside, and never override, your statutory rights (see Governing law below).

Onilaz Academy is delivered live online. By enrolling, you agree to the following:

• Platform: classes run on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams, confirmed when you enrol.
• Recording:sessions may be recorded for enrolled students' personal revision only, and may not be shared, redistributed, or uploaded anywhere.
• Technical requirements: you are responsible for a stable internet connection, a compatible device, and any required software. Technical problems on your end do not entitle you to a refund.
• Attendance: attendance is your responsibility. Missed sessions are not rescheduled individually, but recordings are provided where available.
• Independent provider:Onilaz is not an approved Learning Partner of ACCA, CIMA, or any other professional body. You must register and pay examination fees directly to your professional body. We do not publish or guarantee pass rates; results depend on each student's own effort and preparation.

As a client, you agree to:

• Give us accurate, complete information for the services you have asked for.
• Respond to requests for information in good time.
• Make sure any documents you provide are genuine and lawfully obtained.
• Tell us about any changes to your details or circumstances.
• Pay as agreed in your engagement terms.

Delays caused by missing information may extend timelines, and those delays are notOnilaz's responsibility.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, belongs to Onilaz and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written consent.

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for delays caused by third-party providers.
• We do not guarantee a specific outcome for any engagement.
• Our total liability for an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that service.
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses.
• We do not guarantee exam results; outcomes depend on each student's own effort and preparation.

We treat your information as confidential, in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]. We will not disclose your business or personal information to third parties except:

• where it is needed to deliver the service you asked for;
• where the law or a court requires it;
• with your explicit written consent.

How we handle your personal data is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

• third-party platform outages or processing delays;
• scheduled or unscheduled load-shedding or power disruptions;
• internet, telecommunications, or network failures;
• natural disasters, acts of God, pandemics, or civil unrest;
• changes in law or government policy affecting delivery.

We will tell you promptly and resume as soon as we reasonably can. Neither party may terminate over a force majeure event unless it lasts more than 60 days.

With your consent, we may send you service updates, offers, and educational content by:

• email newsletters and announcements;
• WhatsApp broadcasts to your registered number;
• SMS notifications.

You can opt out any time: reply STOP to any message, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email info@onilaz.co.zw. Opting out of marketing does not affect essential messages about a service you are using.

We will first try to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation within 30 days of written notice. If that does not work:

• Clients in Zimbabwe: the dispute may go to mediation or arbitration under the Arbitration Act [Chapter 7:15], which applies the UNCITRAL Model Law with local modifications.
• Clients outside Zimbabwe: the dispute may go to binding arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, conducted in English, seated in Harare, Zimbabwe, or as we otherwise agree.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page with a new date, and continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
